Anyway, I have to make a shorter summary of the game so far this year, even though I already know it’s way below par. Nine buy-ins back on Coolbet over 3400 hands is absolutely not good, but at the same time I know that I have called the turn and river a lot of times even though my whole body was screaming FOLD. Anyway, I’m where I am and have to try to learn how to fold on the turn and river to save on the chips.
On PokerStars I was in the red all the way but managed to turn the result up to 7.8BB/100 at the last minute so it was still interesting that it turned around last night and today in the morning. Leakbuster gave an A anyway, have to try to plug the leaks as I go along, but mainly it’s my stupid calls on the turn and river that I have to get rid of.
888 became 1.6 buy-in back, which is not too bad on 3400 hands. Leak buster gave me a C+. There are probably a lot of other leaks there. 888 is interesting because the tables break very quickly compared to PS and Ipoker. Sometimes it can run out after 10-20 hands. I suspect that there are a lot of bumhunters who change tables, which force you to change table even though you want to reach up to 100 hands before you make the decision to change tables.
I know I said I wouldn’t take any shots on NL25 if I wasn’t at least 3BB/100 on all three sites but I’ll do it anyway a little later tonight. It’s hard to take the game seriously at NL10 when it’s just a lunch that we’re playing for. NL25 is not much higher but still want to play it as seriously as I can to get up to levels that feel a little more in the wallet.
I publish all the gametapes on youtube, not that anyone will ever look at them, but I can let google store them instead of them eating disk on the computer.
Previously had a plugin for OBS studio that could put marks in the recording and put them on disk, but in the latest version it is built-in. However, I have used StreamUP Chapter Marker Manager instead which can export them to a text file. Have made Hotkeys on the keyboard so I can do the selection quickly. I think that I make a mark every time I make a tag in the poker tracker and put the text file along with the hand history of tagged hands during the session. The description in google is limited to 5000 characters but it seems that I can fit up to four hand histories. That means that I could somehow use the gametape in the future to look back at different hands. I won’t record with sound because I don’t like my own voice and partly because I don’t know if I should speak in English or Swedish. It will be enough to add chaptermarks and any hand histories.

Have also started playing with a shorter stack than full buy-in. I read Sklansky’s and Malmuth’s latest book: Small stakes NL: Help them give you their money. And I have to say that it feels pretty good to only risk 70BB instead of 100BB. The upside will be the same anyway. 30BB plus is 30BB plus even if I start with 70BB or 100BB.
I’ve also started to test a little with implementing some limping as described in the book and so far it has worked well but I don’t think you should do it too much.
